Demons Possess Mid-Atlantic, Look To Las Vegas

The Delco Demons have taken over the Mid-Atlantic Division by storm, winning all three divisional tiers this past weekend, and will be taking the entire club out to Las Vegas for the National Finals.

The Demons Elites and Demons Minor Black swept the New Jersey Nightmare and Richmond Robins, respectively, in the semi-finals on Saturday to advance to the Divisonal Finals on Sunday, along with Demons Minor Orange, who was given a bye into that round.  On Sunday, all three teams would drop their first game of the morning.  For the Elites, it would be their first loss in regulation all year long. All three teams, however, responded, and their opponents only succeeded in waking the Demons.  All three series went to the Demons in the last two games, with all three game 3’s being won in convincing fashion.

For the Elties, Tom Youmans (6g,2a), Scott Cras (5g,3a), Jack Phelan (3g,5a), and AJ Ehinger (2g,6a) led the way against the Liberty.  For Minor Black, it was Joe Dangelantonio (7g,3a) and Tom Pflaumer (4g,3a) at the top of the stat sheet, while Steven Stewart (3W, 2.5GAA) started all three games against the Cougars.  And for Minor Orange, Padraig Nolan (3g,1a) and Dominic Gricco (1g,3a) led their team against the Nightmare.

In two short weeks, the Demons will be heading to Las Vegas, NV to compete in the National Semi-Finals in all three divisions.  In the first round, the  Demons Elites will take on the Long Island 495ers.  In their only meeting this season, the Demons beat the 495ers 2-1, in a game with both teams missing big names from the bench.  This promises to be a great series.  In Minor Tier 1, Demons Black will take on 495ers Blue.  They have also met earlier this season, with Demons Black taking the game 5-3.  Finally, in Minor Tier 2, Demons Orange will take on the New England Insanity Black team.  These teams have matched up as well this season, with the Demons taking down the Insanity 5-3 also.

Out West, in the Elite Division, the Silicon Valley Quakes and Las Vegas Aces will play for the other spot in the National Finals, In Minor Tier 1, it will be OC Vanquish White and San Jose Pirates going at it, while in Minor Tier 2, it will be the Last Vegas Aces and Silicon Valley Quakes, again.

National Semi-Final games will take place Friday 5/17 and Saturday 5/18.  National Finals will be played Saturday night and Sunday 5/19.  All games will be broadcast live by RatCast from the newly renovated Las Vegas Roller Hockey Center, and we’ll be bringing you updates throughout the event, as the Delco Demons go after their first league titles.

And as a final update, ALL THREE DEMONS TEAMS ADVANCE TO VEGAS…. stay tuned for game recaps, write-ups, and celebration photos #DEMONNATION

And all three Demons squads respond, forcing game three in every series. Demons Orange won 5-3, Black won 3-2, and Elite won 6-2.

In a rough morning for the Demons Organization, all three teams lost their first game of the series. Orange lost 4-3 in OT, Black lost 5-3 with an empty net goal, and Elite lost 5-2.

Demons Elites advance to the Divisional Finals against the winner of the Liberty and Cougars game 3 (coming soon), with a second win over the Nightmare, 7-4. Demons Orange kick off the morning in the finals at 9am against the Nightmare.
